Black Girl Ventures Awarded $2 Million Grant from Lever for Change

We are thrilled to announce that Black Girl Ventures (BGV) has been selected as a recipient of a generous $2 million grant from Yield Giving Open Call and Lever for Change! This grant tremendously validates our mission to empower Black and Brown women entrepreneurs and fuel their journeys to building thriving businesses.

What is Yield Giving Open Call

In March 2023, Yield Giving, a philanthropic initiative by MacKenzie Scott, launched a nationwide Open Call seeking community-led organizations dedicated to uplifting those facing systemic barriers. The goal? To elevate organizations working with people and in places experiencing the greatest need across the United States. Yield Giving and Lever for Change, who facilitated the application process, announced a total of $640 million to 361 awardees.

Looking Forward

We are incredibly grateful to Yield Giving Open Call and Lever for Change for their recognition of Black Girl Ventures' work and their investment in our mission. This grant will empower us to reach and support even more Black and Brown women founders, fostering a more equitable and inclusive entrepreneurial landscape. We believe that these underserved entrepreneurs have the power to transform not only their own lives but also their communities.

How You Can Get Involved

In addition to financial contributions, there are many other ways you can support Black Girl Ventures:
